REMINDER: Minimum days all week for Parent–Teacher Conferences
The PTO raises funds to help supplement budget cuts, helping keep support staff and intervention teachers here on campus as well as support student enrichment activities through various fundraisers such as the Color Run event, Goliath Gear, and other events. Last year we raised $50K.
The PTO funds have gone to:
• Support Staff and Intervention Teacher salaries
• Classroom Supplies
• Field Trips & Assemblies
• Grade Level Enrichment Education (past year's have included Drums, Hip Hop & PE)
• Library Supplies & New Books
• Playground Equipment
• Teacher Appreciation Materials
• Maintaining our Outdoor Learning Space
• And more...

We understand that everyone is busy raising our wonderful lion cubs, so if volunteering for an event is not a possibility for you at the moment, please consider donating to the PTO. Your dollars go right back to your student and keep our programs alive. Did you know your generous gift is also tax deductible? If you would like to donate, please make checks payable to Poinsettia PTO or use Zelle @ treasurer@poinsettiapto.com (please include a memo so we can direct the funds correcty)
Some volunteer opportunities include:
• Color Run - Our biggest fundraiser of the year with a goal of $45,000!!!! Held through September, this event requires an army of helpers!
• Scholastic Book Fair - Volunteers needed to help set up, take down & work shifts at the bookfair held in April
• Outdoor Ed Committee - Volunteers needed to help fundraise for the 5th grade overnight science camp
• Talent Show - Co-Chairs needed for this school wide event held in March
• Hospitality / Staff Appreciation - Organize lunches and celebrations for staff throughout the year
• Box Tops for Education - Box Top collection and submit for payment
• Yearbook - Do you have experience in photoshop or photography? Sign up to help organize this year's yearbook!
• Parent Mixer Committee - Team needed to plan this year's parent mixer held in February
• Outdoor Space Upkeep Team - Volunteers needed to help with upkeep & maintenance of our outdoor learning & play space.
• Library Helpers - Come help our Librarian Mrs. Granillo in the library. No experience needed.
• Banners - Help securing sponsors for the year.
